Power consumers in Andhra Pradesh will have to shell out more towards fuel surcharge adjustment for the months April-June 2012.
Consumers in the State will be asked to pay more for these months in the bills to be served in November, December and January.
The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved the FSA which works out to Rs 1,740 crore. This collection is towards additional expenses incurred by the distribution companies for the purchase of power.
For the second quarter July to September the regulator will hold a public hearing.
