AP presents Rs 1,13,049 cr budget for 2015-16

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented a Rs 1,13,049 crore budget for 2015-16.

While the non-Plan expenditure is Rs 78,637 crore, the Plan outlay has been put at Rs 34,412 crore.

This leaves a revenue deficit of Rs 7,300 crore and fiscal deficit of Rs 17,584 crore.

The fiscal deficit works out to 3 per cent of Gross State Domestic Product and revenue deficit of 1.24 per cent.

He said "I am confident that the Budget will enhance the process of building the new State on sound lines and pave way for taking rapid strides in the years to come."

The State priority is to ensure inclusive growth.

The budget has provided Rs 3,168 crore during the next fiscal for development of new capital.

While for the energy sector Rs 4,360 crore has been allocated, roads and buildings sectors have got Rs 2,960 crore.

The Government is working to secure Rs 2,700 crore World Bank aid for restoration of damages caused by Hudhud cyclone.

The tourism and culture sectors have been earmarked Rs 330 crore.

The irrigation sector has been allocated Rs 5,258 crore.

Factoring the contribution of agriculture and other allied sectors and their contribution to 27 per cent of GSDP, it is proposed to come out with a separate budget for agriculture.

As per advanced estimates, the State has recorded a growth of 7.21 per cent during 2014-15.
