AP to set up exclusive Chinese desk for investments

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has assured investors and industrialists in China of his Government support for their business plans and setting up of an exclusive Chinese desk for facilitate investments.

On a tour of China along with a high powered delegation including senior cabinet colleague Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and industrialists and senior officials, Naidu today attended second round-table meeting in Chengdu on ‘Business opportunities in the state Andhra Pradesh, India.’

Indian Ambassador to China Ashok K. Kantha, highlighted efforts initiated to foster closer political relationship between India and China. He outlined the Chief Minister’s ambitious agenda for the development of Andhra Pradesh.

“Construction plans in the capital city Amaravati will open up a lot of opportunities for companies from China and Sichuan,” Kantha said, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.

Yang Xingping, Vice Chairman of Sichuan Provincial People’s Political Consultative Conference, explained the importance Sichuan holds in China and how it has emerged as the first choice for foreign investment in China.

Naidu mentioned how ‘ease of doing businesses would be the State’s unique sales proposition for entrepreneurs. The State had signed up with Singapore-based Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to chart out strategy on how to make it easy for businessmen and industrialists.

During the interaction, a delegate from China Railway Construction Corporation expressed interest in working with the State and its projects.

Later, a Government to Government MoU was signed in Sichuan.
