The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday quashed a memo served by a lower court to Dharmana Prasad Rao, Minister for Roads & Buildings, in the illegal assets case of YSR Congress Party Chief Jaganmohan Reddy.
The memo was served to the Minister earlier after it agreed with a contention of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that no prior permission of the Government was required to prosecute the Minister.
The court had also adjourned judgment on a petition requesting that no changes should be allowed in the CBI team which was investigating into allegation on Jaganmohan Reddy.
Meanwhile, a CBI court had extended the remand of Jaganmohan Reddy, former minister Mopidevi Venkataramama, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad and others accused in the case till May 13.
