Technopark-based Attinad Software, a provider of mobility solutions for both consumers and enterprises, has won the 2013 Red Herring Top 100 Asia award.

A reputed technology magazine, Red Herring , produces an annual list honouring the most promising private technology ventures from the Asian business region.

“We are the only award winner from Kerala from the four originally in the fray. Only 26 companies from India made it to the list,” said Mohammed Rijas, chief executive, Attinad Software.

"Companies like Google, eBay, and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work,'' he said.

Attinad’s flagship Concord mobility platform connects the back-end with iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Symbian platforms.

Rijas said that Etisalat and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company are two major clients. Etisalat has listed Attinad as its mobility partner for the entire West Asia and Africa.

“Enterprise information resides largely in office. When people are in the field and want to refer something or upload something important, they need to come back to office,” he said.

Attinad has identified this as the "last-mile disconnect''. This is what it is trying to address through Concord.

“The Concord platform integrates with complex back-end systems to pipe in information real-time on to the mobile platform,” Rijas said.

Adnoc is Attinad’s first client in the oil and gas sector in West Asia. Here, a custom-developed middleware ensures safety and security in the oil and gas sector.
