Bangladesh today yet again made an appeal to reconsider the Teesta water sharing pact.
According to Abdul Latif Siddiqui, Minister of Posts, Telecommumications and IT, Bangladesh, Teesta water is important to both the countries.
"Teesta water is important to both of us," he said during a CII session.
However, when reporters sought a clarification from him, the Minister denied to comment.
"What I said was more emotional than political. First of all, Teesta water sharing is not my department, I handle IT," he said.
Asked if he would meet any of the Bengal Cabinet Ministers, he replied in the negative.
