The West Bengal government will look to reclaim land at Nayachar in East Midnapore from Prasoon Mukherjee, Chairman and founder of Universal Success Enterprises (USE).

According to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the government will take back around 12, 000 acres of land from Mukherjee's USE. In return, USE will get another plot of land for development in Baruipur, some 30 kms south of the city.

The land in Nayachar will be used for eco-tourism. "We will take the land at Nayachar and in return will give him (Prasoon Mukherjee) land for development at Baruipur. Discussions have been initiated with him," Banerjee told reporters after the Bengal Global Business Summit.
