The delegation is on a three-day visit to Haryana to discuss issues of mutual interest. “Haryana is a progressive state in various fields and we wanted to learn from its experience and also get some technology transferred to Bhutan,” Tshering said.
Apart from this, he said that they were looking at the possibilities of whether the businessmen of Haryana could invest in Bhutan as per the investment policy of the country.
The secretary said that the primary objective of the visit is to identify the key areas where Bhutan and Haryana could cooperate together.
Earlier, the Haryana government officials have been to Bhutan twice in the months of July and November to discuss several areas of mutual cooperation.
He said that both Bhutan and Haryana could cooperate in the key areas like seed development and technology and to materialise this, they would also soon invite technical team from Haryana to visit Bhutan.
