A contingency plan has been prepared to tackle the drought-like situation in Bihar following which Rs 200 crore was released for diesel subsidy.
Addressing NDA legislators at his residence last evening, Kumar said the subsidy on diesel would help farmers irrigate their cropland during kharif season.
Asking MLAs to camp in their respective constituencies soon after the monsoon session of the State Legislature was over, Kumar asked them keep a watch on the quantum of rainfall and the transplantation of paddy seedlings.
Of the 38 districts in the State, 25 are affected by drought and Bihar is facing a natural calamity for the fourth year in succession.
