Stung by the BJP’s move to induct two of his former comrades in the anti-graft agitation — Kiran Bedi and Shazia Ilmi — into the party, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal stepped up his attack on the party as well as his former aides for terming his politics ‘negative’.
He said it remains to be seen if ‘Kiranji’ can save the faction-ridden Delhi BJP.
Kicking off the sixth phase of the AAP’s “Delhi Dialogue’ in Trilokpuri, Kejriwal attacked the BJP’s “politics of poison”. He said Delhi had seen no communal riots in 30 years. Earlier in the day, Kejriwal hit out Bedi and Ilmi for saying the AAP is “negative” politics. AAP and BJP supporters, meanwhile, got into a Twitter war, with the former terming Bedi and Ilmi as ‘parachute candidates”.
Meanwhile, veteran anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, with whom Bedi was working closely after she refused to join electoral politics, said she did not consult him before joining the party.
Congress listMeanwhile, the Congress on Friday pitted Kiran Walia against Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency. It also announced the names of Raj Kumar Maggo, Dhuli Chand Lohia, Vishan Swaroop Agarwal, Zakir Khan and Satanpal Dayma.
