Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is likely to become BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, will attend the party’s crucial Parliamentary Board meeting in New Delhi.
Sources in the Chief Minister’s office in Gandhinagar said that he will be leaving for Delhi shortly but refused to divulge further details.
BJP President Rajnath Singh is expected to call a meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Board today to take a decision on declaring Modi as the PM candidate even as veteran L.K. Advani and other senior leaders continue to have reservations over the issue.
The meeting is likely to take place at 5 p.m. today.
