The Bharatiya Janata Party has promised all-round development of Telangana.
Releasing its poll manifesto here, the State BJP chief Kishan Reddy said his party would ensure nine-hour uninterrupted power to the farm sector, 85 per cent subsidy for solar pump sets, production of 4000 MW electricity by NTPC at Munuguru and another 4000 mw plant at Bhupalapalli.
Under Pratibha Kalam programme, he said free laptops will be provided for top 25,000 students in the Engineering Common Entrance Test along with 500 rank holders in medicine and toppers in other streams. He promised loans at one per cent interest to students of all sections of society.
Reddy said that in recognition of the supreme sacrifices made by those who laid down their lives for the creation of a separate Telangana, an ex-gratia of ₹10 lakh or 3 acres of land or 200 sq yards housing plot in Hyderabad would be provided along with pension for the family members of Telangana martyrs.
It is proposed to develop Warangal as technical Knowledge Hub of Telangana. With regard to Singareni Collieries Company Ltd, he said efforts would be made to abolish tax for the employees who work in mines.
IT start ups will be extended 50 per cent subsidy if the local employment is 50 per cent.
It also provided for district-wise roadmap for their development and promised Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences-type super-speciality hospitals in every district.
