Senior BJP leader M.Venkaiah Naidu today said that the voting pattern in the first three phases shows that the BJP will do much better than what was expected.

Addressing a press conference here today, he said that a detailed analysis shows that there is a clear signal that the BJP charge lead by the Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will do much better than what people would have initially thought.

The voting pattern and increasing percentage of polling only goes to show that people are backing change and rooting for new leadership and new governance, he said.

Referring to the Book written by former media advisor to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and its contents, Naidu said that what he has written only endorses what the BJP has been telling people that while the PM is in his seat, the power centre is elsewhere with Sonia Gandhi.

“While PM Presides, Madam decides. Such a situation has caused immense harm to the country and its people,” he said.

Sanjaya Baru, who served as the media advisor to PM during 2004-2008 in his book, “The Accidental Prime Minister—the Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh,” writes that the PM had told him that there cannot be two centres of power.

Naidu said that the while the Prime Minister was not conveyed about some of the important developments, including those relating to finances, budget process and foreign policy, but Sonia Gandhi was always kept informed. This is a big black mark on the prime Minister, he said.

ANOTHER PROBLEM

The BJP leader continues to have trouble flying. Yet again today, ninth in the recent times, that the aircraft he boarded developed snag with one of its engines failing. The AI flight from Delhi to Hyderabad was stalled after he was on board and he had to take another flight to Hyderabad, he said.
