The Telangana Government has named Tangedu (Senna auriculata) and Krishna Jink (Black Buck) as the State’s flower and animal. Jammi Chettu (Prosopis cineraria) has been named the new State’s new tree and Pala Pitta (Indian roller) its State bird.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has announced the names at a meeting held here on Monday. He said Tangedu, Krishna Jinka, Jammi Chettu and Pala Pitta have been part of Telangana culture and fit fell to become the symbols of the State.
