Chartered accountants and students in their fraternity on Monday announced to donate Rs 1 lakh and other relief material to help the flood victims of Uttarakhand.
About 1,000 CAs and students, who took out a rally under the aegis of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to observe the CA Day on Monday, collected contributions near Income Tax Circle and Gandhi Statue on Ashram Road.
ICAI is making efforts to gather more funds and relief material which would be sent to the Institute’s branch in Dehradun to assist the flood victims, Purshottam Khandelwal, an office-bearer said.
