Cement manufacturers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have reduced the prices by Rs 20 per bag. With this, cement prices have come down from Rs 315-325 to Rs 290-305.

In response to an ongoing purchase holiday declared by builders in protest against "unilateral'' hike in cement prices, major manufacturers on Tuesday had said that it could not be brought down below Rs 335 in view of mounting losses and high prices in neighbouring states.

However, the prices have been cut since yesterday.
