The Joint Action Committee of Builders Associations has said the cement manufacturers have decided to reduce cement prices by Rs 20-25 per bag depending on the brand.
This decision was arrived at a meeting of cement manufacturers and Builders Joint Action Committee in the presence of senior officials of the Government of Telangana.
According to a statement, the members of builders JAC led by C Shekhar Reddy, National President and Chairman of JAC met the State Chief Minister K . Chandrasekhar Rao and thanked him for his help in resolving the stalemate on the cement price hike and assured him full support in building Telangana.
The cement manufactures and members of Builders' Joint Action Committee (JAC), with the good offices of the Government of Telangana, have agreed to resolve various vexatious issues of cement supply and pricing.
In a statement they said "We are happy to inform that we have come to a mutual understanding that most cement manufacturers, in the larger interest of development of the new state of Telangana, will supply cement at reduced prices by Rs 20 to Rs. 25 per bag over the prevailing market prices, depending on the cement brand."
