A three-member Central team has been deputed to study the Swine Flu situation in Telangana after Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya met Health Minister J P Nadda here on Friday.
Dattatreya, who hails from Telangana, also requested Nadda to sanction special funds to improve infrastructure in the Osmania and Gandhi Government Hospitals to deal with the situation, a Labour Ministry release said.
The Labour Minister also requested establishment of a research and virology laboratory centre in Hyderabad to reduce the response time in dealing with the disease, which has claimed about 20 lives in the newly-formed State so far.
