The union ministry of urban development has approved the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)-assisted Rs 1178.75 crore Guwahati sewerage project.
The revised detailed project report submitted by Assam government has been approved by the ministry of urban development, an official release said on Monday.
Ministry of urban development, PHE division under secretary E V Thomas informed this in a letter to Principal Secretary, Guwahati Development Department recently, the release said.
