The Union Government would require some time to decide on giving the benefits of special status as enshrined in the AP Re-Organisation Act.
Addressing reporters here on Saturday, the Union Minister of Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the Centre would require some time to decide on giving ‘special status’ to the new State of Andhra Pradesh.
“The Act may have the expression special status but it won’t contain any detail on that. It will take some time to decide on those details,” she said.
She said the Centre is in the process of setting up a dry port and a logistics hub in the State of Telangana.
