Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is leading a State delegation to World Economic Forum's 46th annual meeting to be held during January 20 to 23 in Davos, Switzerland.
After recently setting the stage of flow of investments with the CII Partnership Summit in Vizag earlier this month, the WEF meet at Davos is another effort at building Brand AP.
Building on “Brand AP”, the Chief Minister mission at the event, where heads of state and CEOs take part, is aimed at projecting Andhra Pradesh as an ideal investment destination.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Reserve Bank Governor Raghuram Rajan, are among those invited from India to attend the Summit. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is the only State head who has been invited.
For the WEF event on the “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” the Chief Minister will take part as a special guest and attend the session along with ministers of other countries and CEOs.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution refers to the fusion of technologies across physical, digital and biological worlds, which is creating entirely new capabilities having dramatic impact on political, social and economic systems.
During the Davos summit, the Chief Minister will hold meetings with industrialists, businessmen and experts from various fields which include delegates from Nestlé, Johnson Controls, Trina Solar, Siemens, McKinsey, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, among others.
The State has crafted a campaign on the streets of Davos where a bus adorned with “Make Andhra Pradesh your Business,” has been making rounds.
The Naidu delegation will include State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and senior officers.
