The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today reiterated his Government's commitment to implement the crop loan waiver scheme.
Addressing District Collectors' Conference at Vijayawada today, he said that in spite of some setbacks including RBI observations against loan reschedulement, the Government was committed to ensuring relief to the farm sector faced with problems.
He said the Government will address the objections raised by the RBI and seek its nod for loan reschedule.
The State Government is faced with the daunting task of rescheduling loans of crops, weavers and women self-help groups amounting to about Rs 45,000 crore.
The RBI had raised objections about claims of drought and loss of production during last year.
The State Government has again written to the RBI to reconsider its decision.
