The Coir Board has said the recent exhibition of products and buyer-seller meet it had organised in Delhi generated an export potential of around Rs. 37 crore.
Delegates from two dozen countries attended the show, which had showcased diverse coir products and machinery.
The Kochi-based Coir Board’s diversification strategy was a major factor behind the keen interest shown by the foreign buyers, G. Balachandran, Chairman, said in a statement.
“We have succeeded in our aim to provide the potential buyers with an opportunity to interact with the exporters around the world,” he added.
