The one-day sit-in of the Congress against the Land Bill of the Narendra Modi Government started here on Wednesday.
Senior leaders of the Congress will be present to challenge the Ordinance and to demand a better and more transparent form of Government. They will stand up for the 2013 law, which was enacted by the UPA Government, the party said in a statement.
Party leaders, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, however, will not attend the protests.
Termed as Zameen Wapasi Andolan, the party's protests are being attended by farmers and party workers from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
