The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India has formed a team to assist government agencies in studying the reasons for the collapse of the 11-floor residential construction at suburban Porur.
Rescue operations are on by multiple government agencies at the site where 47 people died when the building under construction collapsed on Saturday.
According to a representative of Credai, an industry body representing developers, the team has the relevant soil reports and other details. The team includes civil engineer developers, experts from Anna University and the IIT – Madras, IISc Bangalore.
The Confederation said it is “very heartbreaking to think of the mishap that has lead to the loss of lives in Porur.”
The Credai team will assist the agencies concerned in the investigation. According to the Credai official the team will submit its report in three-four days.
