The budget proposal to launch a National Dialysis Service Programme to provide treatment at all district hospitals through a public-private partnership has been hailed by Azad Moopen, CMD of Aster DM Healthcare. “This will not only make dialysis more accessible but will also reduce its cost,” Moopen whose chain of healthcare facilities includes Aster Medicity at Kochi, said. He also welcomed the proposal for health insurance of up to ₹1 lakh a family.
