Automotive manufacturers have announced a new package of discounts, seeking to push up sales volumes as the time ticks for the year-end.
The discounts have been increased in some of the models with each manufacturer preferring to call the discount offer with different name. Ford India calls it ‘Diwali Returns’, Toyota says ‘Remember December’ and Hyundai calls it ‘December Delight’.
Assured giftsIntroducing the offer, Ford says it is available for a limited period during December 3-7, and packages it with assured gifts worth up to ₹5 crore. The discounts range from ₹54,000 for Fiesta sedan, ₹77,000 for Figo hatch, ₹75,000 for Ford classic and escalates up to even ₹1.5 lakh for Ford Endeavour.
Ford is offering customers a chance to take home its bestselling, urban SUV Ford EcoSport with reduced interest rates and low EMIs of ₹9,999.
“With the launch of a campaign like Diwali Returns, our endeavour is to go an extra mile to delight customers and make car purchase even more special,” Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director (Marketing), Sales and Service at Ford India, said.
The Hyundai offers start from ₹46,500 for its small car Eon and goes up to ₹70,000 for its luxury Elantra sedan. The Japanese automotive company Toyota is offering a discount of about ₹30,000 for several models, including for Altis sedan and the Innova multi-purpose vehicle.
Prices slashedSome other manufacturers are offering diesel-run cars, which are normally priced from ₹70,000 to ₹1 lakh and over petrol-run cars, at the price of petrol-run cars, with a rider till stocks last.
Dealers indicate that these discounts would continue for some time as other manufacturers join in the offers.
