The Income Tax department today produced 30 documents before the Special Court here trying the disproportionate asset case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
The court had earlier sought the documents.
The defence counsels sought time to verify the documents which was granted by Special Judge M S Balakrishna who adjourned the matter to May 20 for further recording of evidence of the defence witnesses and their cross examination.
The contents of the documents submitted were not disclosed.
In case of any discrepancy in the documents, the court directed the defence counsels to bring it to its notice and also the IT department.
Jayalalithaa is facing charges that she accumulated wealth of Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate to her known sources of income when she was chief minister for the first time from 1991 to 1996.
