Hailing yoga for its health benefits, DMK today advised one and all to strive to make it an important part of life.
“I have been practising yoga for many years, and I believe it is (a) disciplined practice that brings balance, positive energy and health for the individual,” DMK Treasurer M K Stalin said in a statement.
The UN resolution recognising June 21 as International Yoga day was a “landmark victory” for accessibility to good health and a keen emphasis on healthy living, he said.
Despite originating many centuries ago in India, yoga was today globally accepted and flourishing across the world, he said, adding, everybody should resolve to make it an important part of their daily life.
