Lauding the Assembly election results in the major states of the country – Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh – industry body Assocham said the message is clear – quality of governance is what matters.
D.S. Rawat, Secretary General, Assocham, said that the results of the elections are a reflection of the aspirations of Indian electorate.
“The voter may not understand the complexities of economics, but he/she reacts rather strongly if his/her purchasing power is curtailed by inflation. Emergence of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi is clear reflection of rising aspiration and impatience for the inclusive growth, which needs to be really pushed through on the ground,” Rawat said.
He added that to remain relevant political parties need to deliver on governance issues strongly.
