The Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has urged industrialists to invest in Vidarbha region of the State and assured them of his government’s commitment to remove all blockades.
“Huge investments are on the cards for the Vidarbha region. The environment for investment is conducive and therefore, industrialists from Vidarbha should take advantage of the opportunities,” Fadnavis said here at a function of Hingana Industries Association today.
“The world’s outlook towards investments in India is fast changing and the world leaders from the industries are willing to invest in the country. This was evident during the recent World Economic Forum in Davos which I attended,” he said.
On the investment opportunities in Maharashtra and particularly in Vidarbha, Fadnavis said the government is aware of certain hurdles and is committed to remove all blockades.
The government will soon make necessary amendments in labour laws to make them more friendly. This will remove apprehensions from the minds of industry leaders. At the same time, the government will also ensure protection of the labourers’ interests, he said.
The government is paying attention to make skill development programme a reality, the Chief Minister said.
He asked the industrialists to come forward and impart skill training and create employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
