The Forum for IT professionals (ForIT) has asked the Telangana Government to set up a task force to check unjustified retrenchments by various IT, ITeS companies in the State. The task force must include representatives from the industry and from the work force.
A delegation of ForIT met Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday evening and submitted a memorandum.
The association asked the government to make firms create jobs by the IT firms as specified in the IT policy in the State.
They also called for taking steps to establish a grievance redressal mechanism for all IT employees in Telangana.
It wanted the government to take efforts to reinstate the employees who lost jobs in TCS recently.
“The Minister asked us to come back in a day or two to discuss the issues,” Kiran Chandra, convenor of ForIT, told Business Line.
