The 64th Indian Foundry Congress, a three-day event of the foundry industry, will be held at Codissia Trade Fair Complex between Jan 29 and 31. The theme of the congress is ‘Nurturing Manufacturing’.
An industrial foundry expo is also planned. According to CR Swaminathan, Chairman – Organising Committee of the 64{+t}{+h} IFC, the expo will be a grand show, with the bookings crossing 9000 sq m.
“It is expected to give a fillip to the industry as the latest technology in the foundry industry will be showcased by foreign companies participating in the show,” he said.
The organisers are also planning a demo foundry lab designed by IIT, Mumbai. “This will be a working model,” he added.
CEOs’ meet and a parallel event called ‘Cast Expo’ to showcase the capacity, with a specific focus on the MSME sector, is also proposed, including a buyer-seller meet on the last two days of the congress, he said.
The organisers are expecting over 2,000 registrations and over 10,000 visitors during the three-day event.
