With 210 new cases, AP sees surge in Covid-19 spread

Andhra Pradesh has on Saturday reported a sharp rise in new Covid-19 cases with the detection of  210 new cases which pushed up the tally to 4,460. So far, 73 patients succumbed to the pandemic.

According to a bulletin released on Saturday, out of the 210 new cases detected in the last twenty-four hours, 161 were state residents, and 41 were those who came from other states. Also, eight foreign returnees were tested positive.

So far, 2,601 people were discharged from hospitals after treatment, while 1,786 patients are being treated in various hospitals in the state. So far, .4,36,335 tests have been conducted with a positive rate of 1.02 per cent.

There has been an increasing focus on safety in the state secretariat s the state government made it mandatory for all employees and visitors to install ‘Aarogya Setu’ mobile App in their phones for entering the premises.
