West Bengal Governor M.K. Narayanan on Thursday said that Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) should come to him if the party wanted his intervention.

Amid protests in the Darjeeling hills demanding a separate statehood, GJM had sought the Governor’s mediation on Wednesday.

“If they want my intervention, let them come and ask for my intervention,” Narayanan told newspersons here on the sidelines of the Presidency University’s 1st annual convocation.

“I have made it very clear that the state of West Bengal extends from the ocean to the mountains,” he added.
