Customs officials at Kozhikode airport seized 1.58 kg of gold concealed by a passenger in a UPS unit. The passenger had arrived from Sharjah on Sunday.

The bullion, made into small bits and stuffed into the UPS, was valued at Rs 45 lakh . The man, who hailed from Mattannur, was arrested.
