Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan has said that the state government is striving hard to achieve ‘Bangaru Telangana’ by taking up developmental and welfare programmes.
Addressing the combined session of the Legislative Council and Assembly here on Monday, he said works on the Kaleswaram project were in full swing. The Government is also working on Mission Bageeradha, which is aimed at providing drinking water to all the households in the State. “About 23 lakh pumpsets are getting free power for 24 hours day,” he said.
The first phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail was completed and a stretch of 30 km was opened for public transport.
The Business Advisory Council of the Assembly would discuss and finalise the agenda for the ninth session of the House. Finance Minister Eatala Rajender is likely to present the Budget on March 15.
