The Government is working to ensure that the atmosphere of hopelessness among the people which has now moved to hope is converted into reality, Ashok Gajapthi Raju said on Friday.
"Probably as of now a turtle is making a 100 meters dash. The speed of this has to be increased. We are moving in that direction. But everybody is agreed that there is tremendous potential and it needs to be harnessed. Regardless of whether at the central or state level have to work together and that is what is happening,” the Minister said while addressing “India’s Time to Fly,’ a conference on aerospace innovation jointly organised by Boeing Company and IIT Bombay will host “India’s Time to Fly”.
The Minister was of the opinion that some things like dishonesty in high places have already been addressed. "I do not think there has been a scam in the period of the new Government here in Delhi or anywhere else. So in that way we are on the right track. But you still have to develop systems that do not lend themselves to dishonesty. You still need systems that are vibrant to needs of people. These are things that every one is working on,” he added.
The Minister said that the Government is committed to listen to every one and use its judgment to act. "You have to be a catalyst which will speed up the reaction, Lack of hope did not come without issues. There were a lot of issues,” he said without getting into details.
