‘Green power’ at Pooval Resort

The Pooval Island Resort near here has installed a combined solar and wind generation system capable of generating 50 kWh (solar) and 2 kWh (wind). It proposes to raise these capacities in phases to render the resort ‘energy-neutral,’ say Kabeer Khader, Chairman, and MR Narayanan, Managing Director. Power Minister Kadakampally Surendran inaugurated the combined facility on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the resort has laid out an expansion plan under which eight more Ayurveda cottages will be added.
