City Gas distribution player, Gujarat Gas Limited has joined hands with the Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) to provide piped natural gas (PNG) to homes built under the ‘Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme’ as well as other housing schemes of GHB.
Currently, Gujarat Gas supplies PNG to about 10.70 lakh households across the state.
In order to connect other cities and new residential colonies being set up by GHB, the state government is expanding the gas pipeline network across the state so as to increase the usage of natural gas by consumers and thereby reduce pollution.
For all upcoming and future housing schemes of GHB in the areas like Valsad-Vapi-Umergaon, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Navsari-Bilimora, Chandkheda-Motera, Morbi, Surat-Hazira, Surendranagar-Limbdi, Thangadh, Bharuch-Ankleshwar-Jambusar, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Kheda-Nadiad, Botad, and Kutch-Bhuj, Gujarat Gas will provide PNG connections to all residential units who would want to avail of clean energy facility.
