Leading his party’s poll campaign from the front in the coming Assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will resume his campaigning by addressing a public meeting at Porbandar, Mahatma Gandhi’s birthplace, on Friday.
After a spirited election campaign during October-November in all the four regions of Gujarat, he is expected to take campaigning to the next level.
Gandhi will also reach out to the fishermen community in the coastal district of Porbandar, followed by an interaction with health professionals in Ahmedabad. He will also meet academicians and teachers and address a public meeting in the Nikol-Naroda area, dominated by the Patidars, which assumes importance after Hardik Patel’s “support” to the Congress.
The Congress, which revived after August, has been enthused by the “support” it got from the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Gandhi will visit Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Mahisagar and Dahod districts, the last three being predominantly tribal. In Dahod, Rahul will address a couple of public meetings before leaving for Delhi late in the evening.
