The Andhra Pradesh government and HCL Technologies signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday for the establishment of BPO centres here and at the new capital Amaravati.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HCL Tech Chairman Shiv Nadar. The company made a commitment to invest ₹500 crore over the next five years for setting up BPO centres in the capital region. Initially, it will start operations from Medha Towers at Gannavaram near here where the State government has allotted it space for training engineering graduates.The government would provide around 30 acres and the company would implement the project in two phases.
