Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today (a day after being sworn in) said "I don't have office of my own. Please suggest if you have any idea where I can function as the Chief Minister."
"Even a shed would do," he quipped when a journalist asked where he would work from?
The office portion allotted in the State Secretariat in Hyderabad will take time to be ready and the Lake View Guest House will take some more days, he said. The division of Andhra Pradesh has been done without applying mind causing irreparable loss to Andhra Pradesh.
A State has been created without a capital and there aren't enough funds to develop one. "Look at the current situation, I am still clueless when all these issues would be sorted out," he said.
The All India Services cadre too has not yet been finalised. Needs to be sorted out.
"I don't have a place to sit. Don't have office." This is how I am beginning the journey for creation of a new State. I believe these adversities need to be converted into opportunities, he said.
There is no level playing field. The bifurcation is like hitting below the belt, he added.
