Suspender IAS officer, Y.S. Srilakshmi was today granted interim bail till January 20, by the special court for CBI cases.
The bail is to facilitate her to undergo surgery or pursue alternative medical treatment for her disc dislocation problems, which she has complained.
The AP cadre bureaucrat has also undergone initial consultation and investigations at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences recently.
Srilakshmi, who was the principal secretary, mining was arrested on November 26, 2011 in the case pertaining to allotment of mining leases to the Obulapuram Mining Company owned by Gali Janardhana Reddy, the Karnataka BJP Minister.
She has been in Chanchalguda jail since January 6, 2012 after the High Court struck down a bail granted earlier by the special court for CBI cases.
