Apex trade body, The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) termed the Gujarat state budget a routine one and expressed concerns about execution of the projects announced in the budget.
"Industries couldn’t fetch proper place in the land of Vibrant Gujarat," said Bhagyesh Soneji, Chairperson, ASSOCHAM Gujarat Council terming the allocation made to the MSME sector in the state budget unjustified. The state government has allotted Rs 562 crore for the MSMEs in Gujarat whereas over 2,50,000 MSMEs are registered.
