The number of deaths due to swine flu in Telangana has risen to 41, even as the number of samples testing positive is showing a decrease in intensity.
The State Health Department said that since January 1, about 2,210 samples were tested, out of which 738 were found to be positive.
Yesterday about 90 samples were tested, out of which 20 were found positive. “The number of positive cases reported in the last six days has shown decrease in intensity,” the department said in a statement.
It reiterated that adequate stocks of medicine were available at all teaching, district and area hospitals, as also adequate testing kits for viral transport medium (VTM).
