Jagan Mohan Reddy, leader of the YSR Congress Party and son of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, has rebutted the charges levelled against him by the TDP-BJP combine and said he will transform Seemandhra into the country’s most prosperous State.
He further said here at a roadshow that the TDP and BJP are levelling false charges against him, as they cannot stomach the tremendous response to his campaign, and are quite sure they will be defeated in the election.
He rejected the contention of the TDP-BJP that development of the State will be possible only if the BJP assumes charge at the Centre and the TDP at the State.
“If we win most, or all, of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra, we can get all the funds we require from the Centre. Funds cannot be denied to Seemandhra, even if the BJP-TDP is rejected by the people here. They must learn to respect the verdict of the people,” he said.
