A special court for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday directed N. Srinivasan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, India Cements Ltd, to appear before it on November 1 in connection with the illegal assets case of YSR Congress President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
The court, which had taken up a chargesheet filed earlier this month for trial, had issued summons to Reddy, Srinivasan and the others accused.
Srinivasan was accused of investing over Rs 140 crore in firms belonging to Reddy in exchange for favours to his company in the form of water and land allocation by the Andhra Pradesh Government led by late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Other cement firms, Penna and Raghuram Cements, Reddy’s auditor Vijaysai Reddy and IAS officers M. Samuel and Aditya Nath Das were also named in the chargesheet.
