Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa today announced hiking the share capital towards crop loans meant for Adi Dravidas by ten times.
A state government release here said Jayalalithaa approved increasing the amount from Rs 250 to Rs 2,500 which will be disbursed as subsidy for Adi Dravidas, who are members of Primary Agricultural Cooperatives.
The move will benefit 40,000 persons and the Chief Minister had allocated Rs 10 crore for this purpose and it will help the members secure loan to the maximum limit of Rs 50,000, it said.
