The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (Kassia) has urged the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to allot 25 per cent land in all industrial estates for MSME units as over 90 per cent of all micro and small scale enterprises are located in private industrial estates.
Participating at a pre-budget interaction with the Chief Minister, who also holds the finance portfolio, Chidananda M Rajamane, President, Kassia, submitted a memorandum and urged him to restore the status quo on issue of land on lease-cum-sale basis for 10 years as hitherto and not for 99 years and additionally allot land on 10 years lease only to MSMEs up to 2 acres.
